The purpose of this page is to provide links to various organizations that may interest collectors. All of these groups are dedicated to one particular area or series or numismatics in general. They are interesting and worthwhile numismatic organizations and are recommended for membership.
John Reich Collectors Society
This group is dedicated to the study of all silver and gold coinage produced prior to 1840, and specifically those designs engraved and introduced by Assistant Mint Engraver John Reich (1807 - 1817). Collector articles are published through it’s tri-annual journal, the "John Reich Journal".
Bust Half Nut Club
This group is dedicated to the study of all U.S. Half Dollars produced from 1794 - 1836, commonly called Bust Halves. To become a member, one must have the “fever” for collecting Bust Halves and own at least 100 die marriages. A Bi-annual member census and E-mail E-list between members as well as a Quarterly Newsletter are some of the benefits of membership.
Bust Quarter Collectors Society
This sub-group of the JRCS is dedicated to the study of all U.S. Quarters produced from 1796 - 1838. An E-mail E-list between members and a Bi-Annual Newsletter are used to discuss any Bust Quarter items. Membership meetings are held in conjunction with the annual ANA & FUN shows.
Liberty Seated Collectors Club
This group is dedicated to the study of all U.S. issues produced with the Liberty Seated design (1837 - 1891). Collector articles are published through it’s tri-annual journal, "The Gobrecht Journal".
Early American Coppers
This group is dedicated to the study of all early U.S. copper coins - Colonials, Half Cents, Large Cents, and Hard Time Tokens. Collector articles are published through it’s bi-monthly magazine, "Penny-Wise".
Central States Numismatic Society
This organizations mission is to advance the knowledge of numismatics along educational, historical and scientific lines; to promote greater popular interest in the science of numismatology and promoting a friendly feeling for one another through a social gathering; to aid its members in the study, acquisition, exhibition, use and preservation of numismatic material; and to assist in bringing about better cooperation among all individuals, and all numismatic organizations in the Central States area. The provide grants to numismatic authors to support the research and publication of that research. Collector articles are published through it’s quarterly magazine, "The Centinel".
American Numismatic Association
The American Numismatic Association is a nonprofit educational organization dedicated to educating and encouraging people to study and collect money and related items of all kinds. Collector articles are published through it’s monthly magazine, "The Numismatist".
American Numismatic Society
One of the largest repositories of numismatic items in the United states. In particular the collection of auction catalogs is second to none. The society is dedicated to maintaining the foremost numismatic collection, museum, and library; by supporting scholarly research and publications.
Society of U.S. Pattern Collectors
The Society of U.S. Pattern Collectors is dedicated to the study of many of the rarest coins struck at the U.S. Mint: patterns, die trials and experimental pieces. All pieces are disseminated by Judd #’s.
Numismatic Bibliomania Society
This group is dedicated to the collecting of numismatic literature, including books, periodicals, catalogs and other written or printed material relating to coins, medals, tokens, or paper money, ancient or modern, U.S. or worldwide. Collector articles are published through it’s quarterly journal, "The Asylum" as well as the weekly E-sylum.
Medal Collectors of America
This group is dedicated to the collecting of all world & U.S. art and historical medals. It was formed to bring together those interested not only in collecting, but research and publication of that research.
