SOLD!!!

Almost 200 lots from my core collection were sold at the Stacks-Bowers Summer ANA sale in August 2025...

The actual PLATE COINS found in my book. Rare die marriages, rare die stages, errors and counterstamps...

Hopefully everyone was able to capture a piece of the pie!

​As with most auctions...Some lots sold for well above estimates, but there were also many bargains to be had. I am not sure if the results are an indicator of a series that is so tough that it is avoided by collectors or is a comment on the market in general. 
Early United States Half Dollars Vol. 2 1807-1821
Due to life events, multiple projects and other factors, it has taken much longer to complete the next volume than was expected. However, work continues on Vol. 2 and it is progressing.

 Volume 2 covers the 1807-1821 Capped bust die marriages, as in-depth as were the earlier types in Volume 1. At present, it is going to be almost 600 pages of bust half dollar info!

 As the end approaches, an announcement will be made asking for pre-orders.

Once completed, Volumes 3 & 4 will be begun in unison to hopefully complete the series a bit quicker. Thanks for your patience!

Now a 2-volume set!
After blossoming to over 800 pages with over 1200 different and unique medals delineated, the decision was made to make a 2-volume set to keep the work from being cumbersome.


 This is a whole new work on the subject with much more information, better organization and many more listings than in previous works. Now over 950 pages with color photos of American award medals... When the final edit is sent to the printer an announcement will be made asking for pre-orders.
